Green Sea Turtle Hatchings
April 2024, 7am on a beach in Exmouth, Western Australia.
Two hatchlings emerge in daylight. Normally vulnerable to seagulls, they’re given a rare window of safety as a school of flying fish lands on the beach, drawing attention away from the nest and clearing a path to the ocean.
Female hatchlings take over 20 years to mature before returning to the same beach to lay their own eggs.
Note: This print also includes the story and photographs from the day.
Within the artwork there are a few hidden elements to find:
- 3 hidden images
- A perspective image
- The nest location
